May 1999:

Focussed on adding corals to the tank so as not to increase the bio - load on the system. The only fish I purchased was a replacement for the Long Nosed Hawk Fish.

Introducing the Flame Scallop to the tank proved interesting. I wanted to locate the scallop somewhere visible to show it off so I tried to position it in a clef in the rocks at the front of the tank. It insisted on swimming away several times and hiding in the most inaccessible areas at the back of the tank. I even tried "trapping" it into a space but it was able to move large rocks to get away. We eventually came to a mutual agreement on a resting place out of bright light which it liked but was also visible.
